01
The Design Brief
The brief was to design an affordable, entry-level vanity unit that complements the existing Horizon basin, commonly specified in new-build homes. The design allows homeowners to seamlessly add storage to their bathroom without replacing the basin. The aim was to create a practical, cost-effective solution without compromising on aesthetics.

Concept Ideation

03
On site Approval
The project was delivered within a fast-paced two-month turnaround, from initial design development through material selection, colour finishes and target price points. I travelled to the manufacturing facility to oversee the final stages of development, review production quality and personally sign off on the finished design.

04
Issue at site
During a site visit, I noticed the recessed handle proved difficult for users with longer nails. I redesigned it with a wider recess, improving usability while maintaining the wood’s structural strength and durability. It was rectified within 2 hours.
